About Nanyang Polytechnic

Nanyang Polytechnic is one of the schools that provide quality industry relevant polytechnic education. In these years, we have distinguished ourselves from the others polytechnics by leading the way with the Teaching Factory concept to train the technologists, be innovative to keep up with the needs of the changing economy, cooperate with the partners in the industry and concentrating on developing new capabilities
Today, NYP has seven schools with more than 1,300 staff offering 47 full time diplomas to about 16,000 students in a wide range courses. We are also offering a wide range of selection of continuing education and training programmes to adult learners. Our graduates are well sought after by the industry.
NYP’s success can be reflected in the many awards achieve which includes the Distinguished Public Service Award for Organizational Excellence Award and the Singapore Innovation Excellence Award.

Nanyang Polytechnic has seven schools which consist of:

School of Business Management
In the School of Business Management, it offers courses mainly related to the business world. There is 120 staff and 3,000 students in this school.
Courses offered in School of Business Management
Nanyang Polytechnic offers up to a total of 9 different business courses this year namely:
- Diploma in Food and Beverage Business
- Diploma in Fund Management and Administration
- Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Diploma in Sport and Wellness Management
- Diploma in Mass Media Management
- Diploma in Business Management with 4 options
   - Human Resource Management

   - Customer Relationship Management
- Diploma in Banking and Financial Services

The study journey in school business management would be fairly the same compared to the other polytechnics except for one of the module called the Teaching Enterprise Project where all the business students have to go through in one of the semester in their 2nd Academic Year.
Teaching Enterprise Project is a unique and innovative concept of teaching and learning in the School of Business Management. Each of the business students would have to be attached to 2 of the business centres available. The duration for each stay would be 10 weeks.
The different business centres include:
-Accounting Service Centres
 -   This stop over is mainly for the Accounting students to put what they have learn into practical skills which would be useful in the future. 
-Bodywatch (BW)
-    This is mainly for the Sport and Wellness students to allow them to experience of managing a sophisticated gym and they would have a chance to organise wellness related events which will require them to apply their technical knowledge and develop capabilities in sports management skills.
-Business Service Centre
-   This stop over allow students to experience of providing business support and research services to organisation which will help them to improve on their market research skill, project management and analytical skills through the clients’ project 
-CRM Call Centre (CRMCC)
-    This provides training for the customer service students through the clients’ projects which will help to build up the students’ communication skills and confidence when dealing with the customers
-Centre for Technology Innovation & Commercialisation (CTIC)
-   This stop over allow students to be expose to commercialization process, IP and market information gathering goods.
-E-Learning Development Centre (ELDC)
-   This stop over will help to improve the students’ creativity and capabilities of multimedia
-Events Management & Road Show (EMRS)
-   This stopover help to develop the students’ entrepreneurial sprit, project management and negotiation skills
-Financial Service Resource Centre (FSRC)
-    This exposes students to world of banking and finance which they would be equipped with the up to date financial resources.
-Marketing Service Centre
-   This stop over provides student with the real life experience in managing store, building customer service, entrepreneurial and management skills.
-Supply Chain Management Centre(SCMS)
-    This is a centre allow students to expose to supply chain systems such as Warehouse Management System.
